GuyLaine Charles joined Teigland-Hunt LLP in January 2006 and represents financial institutions, institutional investors and hedge funds in the negotiation and documentation of physical and financial derivative and commodities transactions as well as securities and financing transactions.
Before joining the firm, GuyLaine practiced in the area of structured finance, with an emphasis on domestic and cross-border securitizations and bank financings at two of Canada’s leading law firms. GuyLaine began her career in private practice at Debevoise & Plimpton in New York, where she worked for two years on structured financings, bank financings and the establishment of private funds. GuyLaine served as law clerk to the Chief Justice of the Federal Court of Appeal of Canada (1993-1994).
GuyLaine is fluent in English and French. She is on the board of Party for Humanity.
