Akshay Belani joined Teigland-Hunt LLP in May 2005. Since joining the firm, Akshay has developed substantial expertise in derivatives and commodities trading documentation, including ISDA Master Agreements, Master Repurchase Agreements, EEI Master Power Purchase & Sale Agreements, NAESB Base Contracts for Sale and Purchase of Natural Gas, prime brokerage documentation and triparty custody arrangements. He has experience in derivatives, securities and commodities law and regulation, broker-dealer regulation and has helped to develop and teach an intensive ISDA Master Agreement training program.

Akshay spent a year working part-time at the NASD Division of Enforcement (2003 – 2004) while studying for his law degree. Prior to attending law school, he was a legal assistant in the Financial Institutions Group at Sullivan & Cromwell LLP.
